2What Information Do We Collect?
Personal information you disclose to us. We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you express an interest in obtaining information about us or our products and services, when you participate in activities on the Website, or otherwise when you contact us.
In practice this is the information you enter when you request a demo, or that you send us if you email us directly. The personal information we collect may include the following:
- Your name
- Your work email address
- Your company name
- How many assessors you have
- Anything else you choose to tell us in the message field
- Whether you have asked us to send you product updates
You do not have to give us any of this. If you would rather not, you can email us instead, but we cannot arrange a demonstration without some way of replying to you.
3How Do We Use Your Information?
We use personal information collected via our Website for the business purposes described below. We process your personal information for these purposes in reliance on our legitimate business interests, in order to enter into or perform a contract with you, with your consent, and/or for compliance with our legal obligations.
Where we rely on legitimate interests, those interests are responding to people who ask us about Certshor, arranging and running demonstrations of it, and keeping records of those conversations so that we can run our business.
We use the information we collect or receive:
- To arrange the demo you have asked for and to reply to you about it.
- To respond to enquiries and offer support.
- To send you occasional product updates by email, but only if you have ticked the box asking us to. You can withdraw that consent at any time, either by using the unsubscribe link in any email we send or by contacting us using the details below. Withdrawing it does not affect anything we sent beforehand.
5How Long Do We Keep Your Information?
We keep your information only for as long as we need it for the purposes set out in this policy, unless a longer period is required by law.
In practice, if you request a demo and do not go on to become a customer, we keep your details for 24 months from the last time we were in contact with you. If we speak again in that time, the period starts again. If you do become a customer, we keep your details for as long as that relationship lasts and for as long afterwards as we are required to keep business records.
When we no longer have an ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will delete or anonymise it. You can ask us to delete your details sooner at any time, using the contact details below.
6Security of Your Information
We use administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your personal information. While we have taken reasonable steps to secure the personal information you provide to us, please be aware that despite our efforts, no security measures are perfect or impenetrable, and no method of data transmission can be guaranteed against any interception or other type of misuse.
7Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location (especially if you are located in the EEA or UK), you may have certain rights under applicable data protection laws. These may include the right (i) to request access and obtain a copy of your personal information, (ii) to request rectification or erasure; (iii) to restrict the processing of your personal information; and (iv) if applicable, to data portability.
To make such a request, please contact us using the contact details provided below.
If you are in the UK and believe we have not handled your personal information properly, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK supervisory authority for data protection, at ico.org.uk.
